ECG Spring State of the Greenway Summit & Trail Council Meeting, April 27th

ECG signWe are really looking forward to our upcoming Spring meeting in Baltimore on April 27th!  The Friday before the meeting, we’ll have several activities including a walk and a happy hour reception. Here is a list of the activities, and we’ll provide updates here as more information is available.

EVENTS

Friday, April 26th – there will be a walk in the late afternoon, an informal happy-hour reception at a nearby bar, and a bike ride at 7 put on by Bikemore, a local bike advocacy group, which we can attend. Part of the ride will be on the ECG. (There are bike rental places nearby.) We will provide more information about the Friday events as soon as details are available.

Saturday April 27th – 9 AM to 5 PM, Greenway Meetings

Baltimore World Trade Center, 401 E. Pratt St., Constellation Room (21st Floor). Please note: you will need to show a valid ID to enter the facility, and RSVP to debbie@greenway.org so we can put you on attendee list.

Morning – State of the Greenway Summit, featuring Keynote speaker Andy Clarke, President of the LAB, and speakers from state and local municipal agencies and other groups, including Bike Maryland.

Afternoon – ECGA regional reports and Trail Council Meeting.

HOTELS

We have discounted rates available on rooms at two local hotels, located near the Baltimore WTC.

Quality Inn Downtown Baltimore, 110 Saint Paul Street, Baltimore, MD, 21202, 6 blocks from WTC.

$85/night (before tax) for a room w/ two double beds (20 rooms available at discounted rate).  410-637-3600 – give the group name East Coast Greenway for the discount.

Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel, 202 E. Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD, 21202, just down the street from WTC.

$149/night (before tax) for a room with 1 king or 2 queen beds (20 rooms available, must reserve by April 4th to receive discount.) 410-547-1200 – give group name East Coast Greenway, or use web reservation, group name ECGECGA.
