October 3, 2014, 7 – 11 PM: New England Builders Ball, Providence, RI. You won’t want to miss this handbuilt bike show at the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center in Providence. $5 suggested donation.

October 18 & 19, 2014: Bull City Race Fest & Food Truck Rodeo, Durham, NC. Volunteer with the ECGA and help us raise funds to support our work in North Carolina! Volunteer shifts are available on both days (race occurs on Sunday the 19th). You may register to volunteer here. Please be sure to indicate that you are part of the East Coast Greenway Alliance group when you sign up so we receive volunteer credit!

October 25, 2014: Save the date! Cape Fear River Trail Bicycle Ride, Fayetteville, NC. Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume for a family-friendly ride on the Cape Fear River Trail! This 8-mile out and back ride is hosted by the East Coast Greenway Alliance and Piedmont Natural Gas. Check out the Facebook event page to RSVP.
Check-in: 8:30am- 9:00am
Ride time: 9:30am – 12:30pm
Start/Finish: Soccer Complex off Treetop Dr, Fayetteville, NC.
Route: Cyclists can plan to do the complete out and back distance of the scenic Cape Fear River Trail. Walkers and runners are also welcome!Distance: 8 miles (shorter is also fine, turn around whenever you like!)

Thursday, October 30, 2014 – MA State Committee Meeting. The meeting will correspond with the Bay State Roads Moving Together Conference . Time and location tbd. (Committee meets quarterly)

 Friday – Saturday, November 7-8, 2014 – Fall State of the Greenway Summit in Charleston, SC. Summit will be held Saturday from 9 – 5 at the Charleston Maritime Center. Free and open to the public. Stay tuned for more details about Friday’s events!
