Thursday, August 28, 2014: 10:00am – 2:30pm (NC) – ECG North Carolina State Committee meeting. The Wilmington MPO is kindly hosting the next NC State Committee meeting at Thalian Hall, 310 Chestnut Street, Wilmington, NC, 28401. The meeting starts at 10:00 and will include a break and walk to lunch. After lunch, we will reconvene to wrap up discussions. Meeting is open to the public.

Friday, September 12, 2014: 10am (SC) – Webinar for ECG SC State Committee. Topic: Advancing the East Coast Greenway. Join us on this webinar for understanding the ECG route adoption process and ECG design standards. Understand how the ECG “adopts” new trails into its route, trail design standards for the ECG, steps in the ECG designation process, and route terminology (i.e. “interim,” “permanent,” “alternate,” etc). Though it will be tailored for South Carolina, everyone is welcome to attend who wants to learn more about our trail program. Please email if you are interested.

September, 21-27, 2014: Yankee Roundabout Bike Tour. First annual tour making a loop from Boston, MA – Worcester, MA – Providence, RI – New Bedford, MA – Hyannis, MA – Provincetown, MA and back to Boston via Ferry. For more information visit

October 18 & 19, 2014: Bull City Race Fest & Food Truck Rodeo, Durham, NC. Volunteer with the ECGA and help us raise funds to support our work in North Carolina! Volunteer shifts are available on both days (race occurs on Sunday the 19th). You may register to volunteer here. Please be sure to indicate that you are part of the East Coast Greenway Alliance group when you sign up so we receive volunteer credit!

Thursday, October 30, 2014 – MA State Committee Meeting. The meeting will correspond with the Bay State Roads Moving Together Conference . Time and location tbd. (Committee meets quarterly)

 Friday – Saturday, November 7-8, 2014 – Fall State of the Greenway Summit in Charleston, SC. Summit will be held Saturday from 9 – 5 at the Charleston Maritime Center. Free and open to the public. Stay tuned for more details about Friday’s events!
