Tuesday, April 28, 2015: Connecticut State Committee Meeting & Members Social Hour. Committee meeting will take place 6:30-7:30, followed by a social hour celebrating Connecticut ECG members from 7:30-8:30. Both events will be held at Bowers Auditorium, Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies Sage Hall, 205 Prospect Street, New Haven, CT. Please RSVP and send questions to molly@greneway.org

May 1-2, 2015 - East Coast Greenway Alliance Spring State of the Greenway Summit will be in Philadelphia, PA.  It will be from 9:00 to 5:00 located at Lloyd Hall, 1 Boathouse Row (at the intersection of Kelly Dr. and Waterworks Dr.).  Read more about the Summit and how to register here on our blog!  There will be a reception at 5:30 on the Schuylkill Banks, just north of the Schuylkill Boardwalk.

May 21, 2015 – Stop by and say hello to the ECG staff and Maine state committee at the Build Maine Conference at Bates Mill 1, Bates Mill Complex in Lewiston, Maine, 7:30-5 pm.

May 30, 2015- Join Milford, Connecticut in celebrating May Bike Month with the grand finale – a ribbon cutting ceremony for the state’s first contra-flow bike lane. Thanks to a generous donor, the ECG was able to partner with the city of Milford to design and construct a quarter mile contra-flow bike lane. Meet at 5 pm at Wilcox Park at the entrance of Shipyard Lane and Harborside Drive. Enjoy snacks and free bike valet parking, compliments of the East Coast Greenway Alliance. Questions? Saturday, June 13, 2015: New Haven Festival of Arts & Ideas Ride, Part 1: Join ECG volunteers in Connecticut for a 25 mile family fun ride. Discover the East Coast Greenway’s Farmington Canal Heritage Trailnorth from the New Haven Green . Learn about plans to connect the rail trail to Northampton, MA and visit historic lock 12 in Cheshire before returning to New Haven.  An ECGA volunteer will lead the ride and provide information and background on the trail.  Helmets & signed waiver are required. Starts at 9 am on the New Haven Green, New Haven CT. Saturday June 20, 2015: New Haven Festival of Arts & Ideas Ride, Part 2: Join ECG volunteers in Connecticut for a 30 mile ride. Discover the East Coast Greenway south from the New Haven Green. Ride Connecticut’s southwestern coastline and enjoy the  Vision Trail, Harborside Trail,  Long Wharf Nature Preserve , West Haven’s Savin Rock Trail and Silver Sands State Park in Milford, before returning to the start at New Haven. An ECG volunteer will lead the ride and provide information and background on the trail.  Helmets & signed waiver are required.  Starts at 9 am on the New Haven Green, New Haven, CT. Saturday, June 27, 2015: Connecticut Commissioners’ Ride- A 60 mile bike ride following the ECG’s Farmington Canal Heritage Trail from the New Haven Green to Simsbury and continuing north to  Southwick, Massachusetts. August 22, 2015 - Join the ECGA & Rainbow Bicycle for the 2nd Annual East Coast Greenway Lewiston Bike Festival. This is a fun ride intended for beginner/moderate cyclists. Experienced cyclists are welcome but warned that we will be traveling at touring speed. The ride includes both 30 and 60 mile loop options, a scavenger hunt & prizes from local businesses, and experienced ride leaders & mechanics. Register today!
September 24, 2015 – The 4th Biennial New England Bike-Walk Summit is relocating to downtown, historic Worcester, Massachusetts at the DCU Center.
