Dear President Bush:

The (Name of class or group here) is writing to tell you how the East Coast Greenway has become an important part of (name of town here).

The East Coast Greenway is a path that will someday take travelers from Maine to Florida along the East Coast of America. In (name of city or town here) the ECG passes through many scenic and important locations, including (list scenic, historic and recreational spots here). We ride on our part of the East coast Greenway a lot.

We really like the East Coast Greenway because we can ride our bikes or roller blade there with our friends. We can walk to school or to the recreation center to play team sports. We can bicycle or walk to the library to read books, use the computers or study with other kids. We like the greenway because we can bicycle, run or walk without being in traffic or watching for cars. We feel safe on the greenway in our town. We think it is really important to have the East Coast Greenway here.

We know that our parents like the path too because they ride bikes and walk on the greenway with us in the evenings and on weekends. Sometimes our Moms walk on the path with our little brothers and sisters or just sit near the greenway on a bench and talk with their friends like Moms do. We would like to see more greenways in our town because they are safe and fun for kids.

We hope you will support the East Coast Greenway in (name of town here). When we are old enough, we want to ride to the ends of the East Coast Greenway with our parents or our whole (grade here) class.
