Meet the Team!

Mac Sexton, Tour Leader. Mac is an experienced long-distance bicycle tourer and an avid trails advocate. He is currently on the boards of the Eastern Trail Alliance and the Eastern Trail Management District, where his having been a real estate lawyer comes in handy. In 1998, Mac biked the Big Ride for the American Lung Association, from Seattle to Washington, DC, and is itching to ride the ECG down the eastern seaboard.

Tony Barrett, Support Vehicle Driver. Tony has been biking long-distance since the early 1970s, and has under his belt a 10-week self-supported tour through Europe (1972) and a cross-country ride on the Trans-Am route (1998). Tony has also through-hiked the Appalachian Trail. A member of the ECGA Board of Trustees since 2001, Tony's driving record includes no collisions or major accidents, not even a single moving violation in the last 25 years.

Ethan Davis, Tour Coordinator. Ethan is a longtime bicycle and trails advocate. He has been an active volunteer with the Eastern Trail Alliance since 1999, including having been Outings Chair since 2001. (You can learn more about the Eastern Trail here.) He is also one of the country's leading advocates of human-powered vehicles as transportation, through his website about velomobiles.
