When to go

Fall and spring are the most pleasant, summers tend to be hot and humid. Winters are chilly, but the depth of the cold and snowfall are variable. Precipitation is spread throughout the year.

Designated Trail Details

These trails have been officially designated as part of the East Coast Greenway. There are other completed trails along the Pennsylvania route that have not yet been designated. Please consult our Google maps and cue sheets for more detailed information on the route.

NOTE: Please contact the trail management agency or friends group with questions concerning trail access for individuals with disabilities.

In-line skaters: Trail conditions are variable, and even paved portions aren’t always smooth. We have attempted to note portions that are questionable for skating, but please be prepared to walk or go around certain portions of trail.

The Pennsylvania East Coast Greenway passes through the following counties and municipalities as it travels from New Jersey to Delaware.

  • Bucks County: Morrisville, Bristol
  • Philadelphia County: Cornwells Heights, Philadelphia
  • Delaware County: Chester

The Calhoun Street Bridge crosses the Delaware River, bringing travelers south from New Jersey into Morrisville, PA.
