The actual Greenway trail is funded via public funds, included federal transportation funds and local and state bonds. The East Coast Greenway Alliance doesn’t build or own trail: they are locally owned and managed.

Alliance work is funded through contributions, membership dues, corporate sponsorships, grants, mile sponsorships, merchandise sales, event income, and more.  Alliance funds largely go toward staffing that supports advocacy, communication, promotion of the vision, and collaborative work.
