The ECG Itinerary will mimic the tour just completed by the first 7 cyclists to pedal the entire route. About 80% of that route was on-road, while 20% was on completed trail segments. Our Itinerary will follow the route and daily schedule followed by our tour cyclists, with daily mileage ranging from under 40 to over 90 miles. We encourage anyone planning to travel this route to give patronage to the hotels, motels, B&Bs, and restaurants cited on our itinerary. These businesses helped out on our 2004 tour by providing services for free or at reduced rates.
Some portions of this route are being revised to suggest safer or more appealing locations, and the cue sheets for most of the route are being field proofed. We are also working up a map to illustrate this itinerary. this Itinerary site will evolve incrementally, with photographs, information on points of interest and descriptive pieces being added over time.
