What’s better than a Fall bike tour on the East Coast Greenway and a bottle of wine? We can’t think of anything – except when you combine them to support the ECGA.
Gotham Bicycle Tours, based in New York City, is offering a two-day East Coast Greenway Winery Experience Tour September 19th and 20th. Gotham Bicycle Tours’ owner and experienced cycling tourist, Lukas Herbert, will lead the tour.
Mostly flat, the 73-mile tour follows 40 miles of East Coast Greenway, including the Delaware and Raritan Canal Pathway between Trenton and New Brunswick, NJ, showcasing the historic and lovely section of trail that pass through Princeton, NJ. The remaining 33 miles of connecting trails and quiet roadways meander through agricultural areas and horse country.
Upon arriving at the bicycle-friendly Cream Ridge Winery, riders will receive a personalized bottle of wine that includes their name and the number of miles they have ridden on the tour. Riders will have the option of camping or staying overnight in a nearby hotel.
The cost for the tour is $275 and 10% of the proceeds will be donated to the ECGA. Camping is included in the price, and the hotel rate is $99/night for rooms of up to 4 people.
