Officials met in November to cut a second ribbon on the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail in Cheshire, CT. Four miles of spine trail have been completed in Cheshire alone this year. On hand were representatives from the town of Cheshire, the design and engineering firms, and several dozen happy trail users. James Redeker, commissioner of the state’s Department of Transportation, was awarded an East Coast Greenway tile by Bruce Donald, ECG regional coordinator, for his continuing efforts to close the gaps in Connecticut’s 200-mile route.
