We’re getting ready for our ECGA Fall State of the Greenway Summit this November 13 and 14 in Miami, Florida! This year the ECGA has the unique opportunity of hosting our Summit, Annual Membership Meeting, and Trail Council Meeting in conjunction with WHEELS, an inspiring active-mobility conference and series of events being held from Nov. 11 – 15 in South Miami.
WHEELS is a five-day celebration of Miami’s bicycling, walking, transit, and trails. During WHEELS, more than 10,000 people are expected to access South Florida’s transit system and trails and participate in a series of corresponding activities from Miami-Dade to Palm Beach Counties. It’s designed to elevate awareness of green mobility and South Florida’s transportation and transit issues. WHEELS events will include free bike rides, walks, and a Bike-in Street Party on Saturday, Nov. 14. (See the full WHEELS schedule here.)
The inclusion of our ECGA Fall Summit in the WHEELS conference is fitting and timely, with South Florida’s roadway congestion driving the need for transportation solutions that support regional health, sustainability, and economic growth.
