Join us for our upcoming cross triangle bike ride and reception on Friday, October 25th, followed by our Fall State of the Greenway Summit in Raleigh on Saturday, October 26th (details below). Our State of the Greenway weekend is generously sponsored by REI, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, Performance Bicycle, Parks Hospitality Group, Sun Bicycles, Cabot Creamery Cooperative, and City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation.
Friday, October 25th – Cross Triangle Bike ride at noon
A 48-mile cross triangle ride from Durham to Raleigh on the East Coast Greenway. Thanks to great recent greenway progress, over 90% of the ride will be off-road! Two rest stops will be provided plus a reception at the end. An 18-mile option, starting at Godbold Park in Cary, is also available. Click for a detailed ride description, including map.
Cost: Registration closes Thursday 10/24 at 12pm EDT! After that, only on-site registration will be available. Free for members. Non-members can join at a special $20 rate for the event which includes a 1-year membership in the ECGA.
11am Check-in starts at American Tobacco’s Diamond View Park in downtown Durham (318 Blackwell St, Durham, NC 27701)
12:00 – Main ride begins from Diamond View Park
5:45pm – Reception begins at Nature Research Center at NC Museum of Natural Sciences (121 W Jones St, Raleigh, NC 27601)
6:00pm – Welcome speakers
6:45pm – Shuttle leaves to take riders back to Durham
8pm – Reception ends
