Friday, November 11th

2:30-4:30 pm
Join us in kicking off the ECGA’s 25th Anniversary Celebration & Annual Summit! We’ll start the weekend off right with two fun and active ways to explore the ECG in the Ocean State:

Option 1: Walking Tour
5-mile walking tour of the Blackstone River Bikeway (segment 1A in construction) and the future alignment of River Road, the Blackstone Boulevard, India Point Park and the pedestrian bridge spanning I-195, and the  George Redman Linear Park. The walk will be led by Bill DeSantis (VHB) and Rick Richards (Seekonk Riverbank Revitalization Alliance)

Option 2: Bike Ride
20-mile bike ride on the ECG Rhode Island coastal route. We’ll start at India Point Park, cross the Seekonk River over the George Redman Linear Bridge and ride the East Bay Bike Path to Warren, RI and back. (map.greenway.org)

Led by Barbara Barnes and Beverly Petine of the Rhode Island Historical Society
Meet outside of URI at the corner of Westminster & Union Street (Across the street from Grants Block)
