Virginia Capital Trail, Chickahominy Section User Types AccommodatedThe completed trail segments in Virginia can accommodate a variety of users, as listed in the table below. However, because the bulk of the route through the state is still on road, we recommend that only experienced road bicyclists plan to travel the entire route. We will provide more details about the non-designated segments as soon as possible. Designated Trail DetailsThese trails have been officially designated as part of the East Coast Greenway. There are other completed trails along the Pennsylvania route that have not yet been designated. Please consult our Google maps and cue sheets for more detailed information on the route. NOTE: Please contact the trail management agency or friends group with questions concerning trail access for individuals with disabilities. In-line skaters: Trail conditions are variable, and even paved portions aren’t always smooth. We have attempted to note portions that are questionable for skating, but please be prepared to walk or go around certain portions of trail.
