Gabe Parsacala lives in Piscataway, New Jersey, close to two different stretches of the East Coast Greenway. He took the contest-winning image of his girlfriend, Paige, walking on that New Brunswick/Johnson Park trail, close to the Landing Lane bridge that crosses the Raritan River.
Parsacala says he is a writer, photographer, and poet in the making. "I like going to the greenway and wandering up and down the trails when I want to think," he says. "Over at the Metuchen trails, I skateboard the 3 1/2 mile asphalt stretch. But over at the New Brunswick/Johnson Park trail, I tend to walk, to take in the trees and the Raritan a bit slower."
