Location: Great River Park, 301 East River Drive, East Hartford, CT 06108

Come celebrate the state of Connecticut's impressive progress towards completing its stretch of the East Coast Greenway. A ceremony celebrating our partners in East Hartford and in the state of Connecticut will be followed by a short bike ride on the scenic Riverfront Recapture circuit of Hartford and East Hartford, riding trails on both sides of the Connecticut River.

Officials attending the event include Governor Dannel Malloy, East Hartford Mayor Marcia Leclerc, Riverfront Recapture CEO and President Michael Zaleski, and ECGA Executive Director Dennis Markatos-Soriano.

25 years, 50 rivers, 1 Greenway: The nonprofit East Coast Greenway Alliance is celebrating its 25th anniversary by hosting a 3,000-mile, 68-day birthday party — the East Coast River Relay. The series of public events begins August 24 in Calais, Maine, and follows the Greenway to end in Key West, Florida on October 30.
