The East Coast Greenway is a collaborative effort that has attracted more than $1 billion in public investment in its first 25 years. The dream of a 3,000-mile protected biking and walking route represents a commitment to public health, environmental sustainability, economic development, and civic engagement.
Record revenue in the last few years has been financially transformative for the nonprofit East Coast Greenway Alliance. Thanks to the generosity of major donors, foundations, corporate support, and our members, in 2017 we invested in additional staff and hosted our biggest program in history, the East Coast River Relay, to expand our partnerships and raise awareness.
Together, we are connecting more people to nature and communities via a safe, accessible Greenway.
Our 2016 Annual Report, as the 25th Anniversary Edition, features a state-by-state look at the Greenway's progress and status and features on some of the people leading the work.
For her Bat Mitzvah, Jessie Lickstein created an online fundraiser, based on miles run, for the East Coast Greenway. The young triathlete and environmentalist lives in West Palm Beach, Florida. Watch video of Jessie at her Bat Mitzvah
