When and where is the Summit being held?

The Summit is being held April 4-6 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We'll kick things off at Convene at Cira Centre on Thursday, April 4. We'll gather in Houston Hall at the University of Pennsylvania on Friday, April 5. We'll offer mobile workshops around the city on Thursday and Saturday.

What types of sessions will the Summit include?

We are excited to feature mobile outdoor workshops along with a keynote and plenary panel and more than 20 breakout sessions on issues ranging from bicycle equity and community partnerships to greenway design, funding strategies, economic impact, youth engagement, and more.

Who is the target audience for the Summit?

The sessions are aimed at anyone working to advance greenways and trails, particularly in the Mid-Atlantic region. Participants will include transportation experts, urban planners and designers, municipal administrators and elected officials, public health professionals, foundation leaders, and more.

How much does the Summit cost?

To attend the full conference, including workshops (as well as dinner on Thursday and breakfast and lunch on Friday):

  • Agency & public sector (incuding non-profit orgs), $150 (early bird, $100)

  • Private sector, $200 (early bird, $150)

  • Students, $65

  • Speakers, $75

  • Thursday night dinner and plenary panel only, $40

Will you offer scholarships?

Yes! We'll administer partial and full scholarships based on financial need. Apply here

Who is planning this event?

The Mid-Atlantic Greenways and Trails Summit is produced by East Coast Greenway Alliance, a nonprofit based in Durham, NC, with Mid-Atlantic staff based in Philadelphia. We are thankful to the many organizational partners, presenters, and volunteers who help make this event a success. The Summit Planning Committee includes representatives from across the region.

Will you be offering any continuing education credits, such as for AICP? 

Attendees may self report for AICP credits for the 2019 Mid-Atlantic Greenways and Trails Summit. We are happy to provide documentation for any other credentials as well.
