Celebrating outstanding impact, gearing up for more

florida sign installation
Cyclist passes Greenway sign newly installed on a Florida Department of Transportation right-of-way on North Hutchinson Island in Florida's St. Lucie County.

We achieved a strong impact together in 2017, from welcoming another 40 miles of new Greenway (a public investment of almost $50 million!) to hosting a 3,000-mile River Relay celebrating the Greenway and its access to 50 beautiful rivers. We even put on a very popular inaugural Southeast Greenways & Trails Summit to propel our momentum forward where we need it most. These events helped to grow our network of supporters and followers by 25 percent to 75,000 people.

Now we set our sights on a new year full of progress. We plan to open dozens of new miles of East Coast Greenway with our friends from New England to Florida. And we will post ECG signs on hundreds more miles as we enhance the Greenway experience, getting closer to our vision of a safe and accessible route for all.

Thank you for helping make last year so incredible. I'm eager to see what we achieve together in 2018!
