From our executive director: Building a strong team of Greenway stewards

A sunny day on the New Castle Riverfront Greenway in Delaware.

Just like any nonprofit, our team of staff, volunteers, and partners is a living organism that adapts and grows when nutrients allow. Resources from generous people like you have helped us grow our team significantly these past few years. I'm delighted to welcome Kristine Keeney, our New England Coordinator poised to lead dramatic impact throughout the northernmost section of our corridor.

And I'm happy to see recognition for teammates like past Trustee Steve Mitchell. I call Steve "the best bike advocate car dealer in the world" because of his leadership along with other heroes and heroines in getting the East Coast Greenway in front of visionary elected leaders like Connecticut Governor Malloy. Take a ride or walk along the Greenway in Connecticut to see what strong teams can achieve.

As we continue to adapt when opportunities like BUILD arrive, we will do our best to serve our 450 communities and develop stewards of the beautiful natural areas we all love. We aim to accelerate the Greenway's development to become the most popular park in America.

Here's to a summer full of progress and fun on the Greenway!

Together, let's grow the Greenway

Recent record-setting funding for design and construction goes directly to building the East Coast Greenway - as it should. The East Coast Greenway Alliance needs your support to continue our advocacy work that is fueling completion of the Greenway. The Alliance has a sustained track record of turning every dollar donated to our nonprofit into $100 in public infrastructure investment.
