The East Coast Greenway Alliance is constantly in development, in multiple ways. Sometimes, we are responding to external factors from the federal to local level. This month, we are experiencing significant internal change with staff members growing into new roles, joining the team, and wrapping up their work.
After more than four years of ECGA leadership from the regional to the national level, Niles Barnes begins this month as our Deputy Director. Niles has brought positivity, determination, and valuable nonprofit insights from day one. He will continue to manage our regional coordinator team while taking on new leadership responsibilities within the organization.
Debbie West, our longtime office manager, has moved into our new role of Development Manager, where she can apply her many skills to maintain and strengthen our momentum as a growing organization. Taking her place as Office Manager is Dominique Pericles, an administrator and events manager with a passion for the nonprofit sector. (Read more)
New England Greenway Coordinator Molly Henry completed more than four years with us, transforming the Greenway from Maine to Connecticut (which included designating dozens of miles of new greenways and posting hundreds of miles of directional signs!). Molly is headed to graduate school to prepare for adventures in a new field. And with the River Relay complete, we also say goodbye to Mary Beth Powell, our Relay Program Manager. Mary Beth was the glue holding together our biggest and most complex program ever last fall. We wish them both great luck!
We'll continue to evolve as an organization. We are set to take advantage of new opportunities as we work hard toward our mission and to achieve the goals in our Strategic Plan to 2020. Thank you for your support, which makes this process and our exciting impact possible!
