Join greenway leaders in the Triangle, October 1-3
Fellow transportation leaders, policymakers, wellness professionals, parks and recreation leaders, and others will gather for the first Southeast Greenways & Trails Summit. We’ll share best practices, build relationships, and influence trail and greenway development in the Southeast. By ensuring broad representation of stakeholders and leaders from the private and public sectors, the Summit inspires increased momentum, advancing trails and greenways across the region from Virginia to Florida and beyond.
Programming will be based in Durham, NC, with additional workshops held in Raleigh and Cary. Expect high-caliber, expert presenters, insightful plenary and keynotes, and ample networking time. We’ll kick things off Sunday with a 5K run on local trails and other fitness options, followed by a reception featuring Triangle-area breweries and a keynote talk by renowned trails expert Chuck Flink (see below). Sprinkled among two days of workshops will be more opportunities to sample food and drink venues in Durham and to visit inspiring sections of the East Coast Greenway in the burgeoning Triangle area.
