Office Operations Manager

K.C. Ward

Working out of the East Coast Greenway Alliance’s Durham, North Carolina, headquarters, Katie “K.C.” Ward brings a formal background in public health and exercise science and experience as an administrative assistant in the healthcare field to the nonprofit’s office operations manager role. 

Prior to joining the Greenway team, K.C. worked as a medical and administrative assistant with Laurel Endocrine & Thyroid Specialists in Columbia, South Carolina, where she managed many aspects of the practice’s clerical and clinical operations. She also served as the Studio Manager at Fit Columbia, a personal training studio.  

As a volunteer with the American Cancer Society, K.C. gained wide-ranging experience in the nonprofit sector. She served as mission integration chair for ACS’ national volunteer team, creating health equity initiatives for college campuses across the country and globe. K.C. also worked in team development and finance and production roles for ACS’ on-campus engagement at the University of South Carolina. 

K.C. is a graduate of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. She enjoys running, hiking, baking, her dog Luna and plants.
