East Coast Greenway COVID-19 update

titusville greenway

As an organization dedicated to promoting and fostering public health, we are deeply concerned about the COVID-19 pandemic and its ramifications for the people throughout our 15 states, 450 communities and beyond.

We care about and are taking steps to protect the health and well-being of our staff, partners and everyone throughout our corridor who utilize the Greenway. With that in mind, our team has instituted social distancing policies in an attempt to do our part to “flatten the curve” of the spread of COVID-19. The East Coast Greenway Alliance staff adopted the following policies effective Friday, March 13:

  • Our entire staff is working remotely from home
  • Travel and in-person events and meetings are postponed through the end of April (We shifted our Southeast Greenways & Trails Summit to a virtual event and have postponed our May 16-17 NYC-to-Philadelphia Greenway Ride despite relying on these events for a significant percentage of our nonprofit's revenue.)

Despite these adjustments, our team remains committed to growing the Greenway. Have questions? Contact us at info@greenway.org, and the appropriate team member will be in touch.

As our nation and world weathers this storm, greenways and trails are a key outlet for healthy, stress-relieving activity, while observing social distancing. Everyone deserves connected greenways as a gateway to an active, healthy life. Our organization is committed to developing 3,000 continuous miles from Maine to Florida, a safe and accessible Greenway for all to enjoy.

Help us continue to grow the Greenway.
