Joel and Holly Amidon biked the entire East Coast Greenway in 2010 to celebrate Joel's 50th birthday and the couple's 25th wedding anniversary. They left Calais, Maine, on August 1 and arrived in Key West, Florida, on October 9.
The journey was wonderful in many ways, as they reported along the way in their blog. They had perfect weather, experienced no injuries, and best of all caught up with many famiy and friends along the trail. Holly's parents, Pam and Bruce, provided support and fun all along the coast by serving as the official sag wagon and cheerleaders.
